Nana's Apple Crisp

This is one of the recipes in the 2013 Holiday Dessert Freezer Meal Workshops (see Meal Planning Tab on Freezer Meal Workshops). Most of the things we make in this workshop are cookies. However, THIS dessert is just too yummy and easy to leave out of the workshop. We divide it into two 8X8 tins, so you can bake one or both at a time.

The recipe is not my original as it was taken from the Tastefully Simple Recipe Search Engine. The only change that I made was using 1/2 cup OATS in place of the Oatmeal.

6 cups chopped apples (peeled or unpeeled)
Nana's Apple Cake Mix®
1/2 cup oatmeal
1/2 cup (1 stick) melted butter
Creamy Caramel Sauce
Whipped cream

Place apples in greased 9 x 13 baking pan. Combine next 3 ingredients; mix until crumbly. Sprinkle cake mixture on apples. Bake at 350° for 45 minutes.
