Perfect Veggie Beef Soup

This picture doesn't do this soup justice. It's the only one I have to show and the soup is not photo-graphical in the bowl either. It's here to show you the thickness of this soup- almost like a stew. This is another recipe that I tweaked. The original one uses stew meat and beef broth. I didn't have any stew meat and we are not big fans of the beef broth after taste. So I redid the recipe and it turned out to be a SENSATIONAL Soup. Don't forget to make some Corn Bread to go with it. Southern style--not sweet!

1 package of Perfectly Potato Cheddar Soup Mix
2 cups of V8 Juice, Original flavor
5 cups of hot water
1/2 cup of Merlot Sauce
1 TBSP Garlic Garlic
1 TBSP Seasoned Salt
2 lbs cooked Ground Beef (I used my Ground Beef Bags to save time and cleaning)
2 - 15 oz cans of Mixed Vegetables
1 - 8oz can of Mushrooms

Brown 2 lbs of Ground Beef (using 2 TBSP Onion Onion and 2 tsp Seasoned Salt) if you are not using a Ground Beef Bag (search that term in Blog if you are confused). In a large Slow Cooker, add and whisk together the first 6 ingredients. After they are mixed well, stir in the remaining items. Cook on low for 5-6 hours. Serve with Southern Style Corn Bread. (Brian would also eat this with Ritz Crackers too)
