Slow Cooker Chuck Roast

This is a great fix-it-and-forget-it meal. The BONUS--only ONE pot to clean and it can go in the dishwasher :)

Ingredients:
2-3LB Chuck Roast
medium onion (or 2TBSP ONION ONION)
2 TBSP Garlic Garlic
1 TSBP Seasoned Salt
4 TBSP Merlot Sauce
1 stick of margarine (I like Blue Bonnet Light)
1/2 cup water
4 red potatoes
1LB bag of baby carrots

Directions:
Spray Slow Cooker with non-stick spray and turn on LOW. Slice onion and put in the bottom. (you can sprinkle Onion Onion here if you just want the flavor and not going to eat the onions. Vidalias are in season, so we eat the onions). Place Chuck Roast on top of the onions.











Sprinkle 2 TBSP Garlic Garlic (or a capful) over the meat,
then 1 TBSP Seasoned Salt (or 1/2 capful)






















Put 4 TBSP Merlot Sauce on top of meat










Melt butter in a glass measuring cup

then add 1/2 cup water













Pour butter and water over the onions and/or in the spaces around the meat. Careful not to pour liquid over the meat and seasonings.
















Slice potatoes. Place in the spaces and on top of the meat.













Add the bag of carrots on top of the potatoes, so they are not touching any liquid then Cover.









Dinner is READY in 8 hours. This one I started assembling at 9:45am and closed the lid at 10am, which means we are eating at 6pm. So this meal still only has you in the kitchen 15, maybe 20 minutes. I assembled it while waiting on my coffee and cooking toast for the kids.
