Vanilla Walnut Pumpkin Spice Trifle

It's been a while since I've posted--so sorry for that. Here is my latest Trifle creation that is perfect for the Holidays!


1 box Pumpkin Patch
2 medium eggs
1 cup water
1 package Vanilla Pudding
3 cups of milk
12 oz Whipped Topping (thawed)
2 TBSP Warm Up Mulling Spice (divided)

Pre-heat oven 350 degrees. Mix Pumpkin Patch with eggs and water. Divide the batter equally between 2 round cake pans. Bake for 20 minutes or until set and pulling from edges. Empty cakes onto cooling racks and cool completely. Mix pudding package with milk and chill in the refrigerator until set. When cakes are cool and pudding is set, mix 1 Tbsp Warm Up Mulling Spice with 1/2 tub Whipped Topping and set aside. Place one round cake into a large Trifle Bowl, trimming edges if necessary. ( I just squish it all in to fit). Spread 1/2 of the vanilla pudding on top. Then add the 1/2 tub Whipped Topping mixture. Place other cake on top, the rest of the pudding then the rest of the plain Whipped Topping. Lightly sprinkle 1 TBSP of Warm Up Mulling Spice over topping. Store in the fridge until ready to eat.

This AWESOME bring-a-dessert-dish, because it feeds a lot of folks! The great thing to is that you can bake the cake, make the pudding and mix the topping the night before the event then assemble the next day. That way you are not rushing for the cake to cool and pudding to set. However, if you are making it same day, then you can put the cakes in the freezer to cool faster.
