Chicken Parmesan and pasta
This is a Quick and Easy recipe that will please even the smallest of mouths. Tastefully Simple allows you to make a Fabulous Chicken Parmesan Dinner (or Lunch) in less than 20 minutes. Basically the time it took to boil the pasta was all that was needed. You can use any choice of breaded frozen chicken. We like Apple Gate since it's Organic. We have used Tyson and Banquet in the past, as well.
6 Frozen breaded Chicken Patties
28 oz can of crushed tomatoes
2 TBSP (capful) of Dried Tomato and Garlic Pesto
1 TBSP ONION ONION
1/2 cup water
1 bag of shredded mozzarella cheese
Parmesan cheese shaker
8 oz spaghetti or other pasta
Pre-heat oven as directed on the chicken patty package. Place pasta in water and boil. Mix tomato sauce, Dried Tomato and Garlic Pesto, Onion Onion and water. Spray large casserole dish with non-stick spray. Place chicken patties in a single layer in the dish. Shake Parmesan cheese on each patty then spoon on a little tomato mixture and top with mozzarella cheese. Bake for 15 minutes or until warmed through. Drain pasta and serve on a plate with chicken patties. Use leftover sauce for pasta or to dip bread.
