About Me

My Photo
I've been doing this since April 2001 and LOVE IT. I've been able to be a stay-at-home-mom AND have income. Our products basically take the prep work out of cooking or helps those that don't know how to cook. If you can boil water or pour something over meat then you can COOK. If you can melt butter and measure a cup of water then you can BAKE. That's Tastefully Simple! Our spices also help those that already cook by adding amazing flavor; A little bit goes a long way. E.G. one teaspoon of Garlic Garlic equals 1 clove. At parties, I pass samples around for people to try. Everyone orders and it’s sent to their house. The host receives free and discounted product. I'm leading one of the fastest growing TEAMs in my area and would LOVE to have you join us. The income is amazing, but making my own schedule is FABULOUS! I LOVE what I do and know that YOU will, too. You can email me at debwright@bellsouth.net to place an order for the Tastefully Simple Products needed in any of the recipes. OR you can shop online at my webpage. Feel free to call me with any questions as well 205-616-3514

No Gluten and Soy added products, per a Taste-bud with allergies to both

I want to share with you something that a Taste-bud of mine wrote about Gluten and TS products. I know that some of you fave the same challenge that Susan does and have asked me about what products would be good for you. I'm honest and tell you that I don't know. Well, this should help you:

I've copied my list of G-Free products. Yes, most of them are made in a shared facility, but for many with a gluten intolerance or celiac it doesn't cause a problem. When I was first diagnosed I was afraid to eat ANYTHING that wasn't specifically labeled gluten free or made in a gluten free facility, but when near starvation set in, I realized that I was eating food in my home that I share with 4 family members who are NOT gluten free, I was cooking and cleaning up after them and I wasn't getting sick, so I began to experiment. My kitchen is clean but I'm not scrubbing and sanitizing and preparing my meals in my spare bedroom. The rules for a "G" Free facility are VERY STRICT so I can see why every manufacturer does not sell gluten free products and therefore CANNOT legally label them as such. BUT, across the board, health regulations are strict and monitored and I have to believe that our products are produced in regulated, sanitized facilities. I have several friends and clients with celiac and they came to my open house last week, where I specifically offered many of my gluten free options, as I see it, and they ate, loved them, and when I checked up on them afterwards, were fine! The list has products that contain "natural flavors" but I've also found that I have an allergy to soy, and SOY is the culprit in most of those cases, not gluten. SOY!!!!!  Anyway.......these products are safe for me (the ones without soy!) and for the few I've shared them with and I'm confident enough to put this list in my nutritional binder and let my clients make their decisions from there. Hope this is helpful!
