Scratch Spaghetti Sauce

This is my recipe for spaghetti from scratch. I have never before now share this recipe with anyone! So lucky you! This is something that my family loves, however it needs to simmer for at least 3 hours to be REALLY good. So there are some things that I cook that are not so quick ;). It is easy though and quick to prepare to simmer. 

Scratch Spaghetti Sauce


1 15 oz cans of Hunt's Tomato Sauce
1 28oz can Crushed Tomatoes
1 6oz can of Hunt's Tomato Paste (I like the Basil, Oregano one)
1 Cream of Mushroom Soup (I like Pacific brand)
1 small can of mushrooms (drained)
3lbs ground beef (cook using Quick Ground Beef recipe-Onion Onion & Seasoned Salt)
4 TBSP Dried Tomato & Garlic Pesto


Combine all ingredients in stew pot and simmer on Low for at least 3 hours. Stir occasionally to mix and keep sauce from sticking to the bottom. Serve over noodles (or your favorite pasta), use as a filling for lasagna (or other pasta dish) or just spoon over garlic bread.

This recipe makes a good bit. It will keep in the fridge for about a week and it does freeze well too. I have doubled the recipe many times to put up in the freezer to pull out on busy nights.
